Have you always wondered what it's like to breathe underwater? Have you always wanted to try scuba diving, but aren't quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course or don’t know how to swim? Then, the PADI Discover Scuba Diving Program is your answer.
This 1.5-day introductory program offers an easy sneak peek into the beautiful world that lies underwater. And if you love it as much as we do, you can seamlessly move on to a certification course. While it is not necessary to know swimming to participate in the program, you need to be in reasonably good health.
Day 1 (2pm-4pm): A short classroom session to discuss basics of diving, hand signals, equipment use, and safety guidelines. This is followed by an approximately 45-minute pool training session to get comfortable with being underwater and learn a few essential skills. The pool session is mandatory for all participants in order to ensure not just your safety, but also that you have a great time underwater the next day!
Day 2 (6.30am-3pm): Hop on to a boat and head to the local dive sites around Grande Island. Once there, you will go on an approximately 40-minute dive to a maximum depth of 12m, under the direct supervision of a PADI Instructor.
