Our passion for diving and our endeavour to bring scuba diving training in
India at par with international standards, in terms of quality and safety, laid the foundation
of Scuba Evolution India.
Our journey started in 2015 as the first dive centre on the mainland to
provide onsite accommodation. Since then, we have evolved into a PADI (Professional Association
of Diving Instructors) Five Star Instructor Development Dive Resort, PADI TecRec Centre and a
Public Safety Diver training institute. We’ve also set ourselves apart by becoming the only ISO certified dive centre in the country.
At SEI, we focus on providing top notch dive education to our customers while prioritising safety and having fun!
We want to share our passion with you not just as divers but also as a driving force to encourage everyone to take the plunge.

Why Goa?
Scuba Evolution India is the brainchild of Indian
Navy veterans - Cdr Skandan Warrier and Cdr Vishwanath Rajan - who have served in Goa.
Hence, the sunshine state was the natural choice of location for bringing the dream
alive!
Goa enjoys easy access to the Arabian Sea and is one of
the most sought after dive destinations in the country. It is home to a beautiful set of
islands, fringing coral reefs, and shipwrecks waiting to be explored and discovered.
Goa is also a popular fun destination for both domestic
and international tourists, and our holistic, safe and educational dive experiences add
a spark of adventure to this great location, ideal for leisure and recreation.

making it an ideal dive destination for beginners as well as certified divers.

Isaiah (aka Izzy) will most likely be the first person to greet you as you walk in to the dive centre, where he did all his training! Ever smiling & happy, he can tell you all about the dive sites, and the nooks & crannies to spot the most interesting species.
Isaiah takes a keen interest in nudibranchs & gets excited like a child every time he sees one! Hang out with him long enough & he’ll definitely show you some of the amazing nudibranch photos he has taken. So if you want some great photos of your dives, you know who to be friends with!
Born & brought up in Goa, he also knows some of the best sunset points in town & will happily take you there after work! He exists on Instagram by the name @sea.as.iz
Madhuli Karmalkar
Instructor
For Madhuli (or Madhu), the love affair with water started way back in the early 2000s when she began training as a competitive swimmer. Brought up in Pune, she dived for the first time in 2019 & soon after realised she had found her calling.
Madhu holds a Masters degree in Marine and Antarctic Studies specialising in marine biology from the University of Tasmania, Australia. She is also the resident bird nerd at SEI & can identify almost every species that you are likely to spot in Goa.
She loves teaching Advanced Open Water courses & especially the Fish ID adventure dive. On a non-diving day, you’ll find her engrossed in research or preparations for the next course with FRIENDS playing in the background. Honestly, we’ve lost count of the number of time she has watched the series!

Hubert D'Souza

The quietest & most soft-spoken on the team, Hubert is one of the pillars of SEI’s operations. Sending emails, keeping track of the schedule, managing the calendar, keeping track of accounts – you name it & Hubert does it.
Skandan Warrier
Co-Founder, Promoter & Director
Commander Skandan Warrier,Master Scuba Diver, our founder and director, is an Indian Navy veteran, who has played a role in Naval support operations during the Kargil conflict and Operation Parakram. He brings his discipline, years of experience in aviation and surface operations, an attitude of uncompromising integrity and an endless love for the sea to Scuba Evolution India. A PGDBM in Finance, with a natural business acumen, he is our head of business development and growth. His passion, of course, is running a safe and fun dive resort and constantly training himself to become a better diver.
Vishwanath Rajan
Co-Founder & Director
Commander Vishwanath Rajan, a.k.a Vish - the Fish, is our Waterbender-in-Chief. He learned to dive 25 years ago in the Indian Navy and is a Full Cave, Trimix CCR Diver, Research, Technical and Public Safety Diving Instructor, and an Emergency First Response Instructor Trainer. Vish has dived in almost every Indian coastal state, including the Andaman and Lakshadweep Islands, and is exploring the caves in Meghalaya. He has also dived in Hawaii and California and has been cave diving in Florida, Mexico, and Hungary. Vish is an award-winning critical care paramedic and EMS educator passionate about teaching pre-hospital emergency medicine, dive and wilderness medicine. He brings over 25 years of operational experience as a team leader. A keen ocean advocate with a master's degree in Nautical Sciences, he heads our exploration and conservation projects. Vish is the backbone of all our Safety, Dive and Medicine Education and Operations policies.
Monika Bhalla
General Manager
Monika, our general manager, an Open Water Diver is a woman of many talents. She's a graduate of home science, has trained herself in many forms of sport and was a swimming and aerobics instructor. Monika loves to meet people and explore adventure sports. She now handles the customer relations and manages the resort.

Raja Anand
Instructor
Committed & sincere, Raja has been diving since 2015. Over the years, he has dived
extensively in the Andaman Islands, Sri Lanka, Chennai & Goa. Raja's presence at the dive centre is
marked by his beloved speakers belting out 90s music at maximum volume! He says it's to keep the rest of
us awake & active on non-diving days. His boisterous voice notwithstanding, Raja likes to keep a low
profile. We call him an anti-social given that he does not have any social media accounts.
Sinjini Chanda
Instructor
A diver since 2017, Sinjini has completed all her professional training in Goa and
knows the waters like the back of her hand. A former competitive swimmer, she is the epitome of a water
baby. Besides being an Instructor, she also manages SEI's dive operations.
She left behind a promising career as a journalist to become a dive professional &
says it's the best life decision she ever made! We believe her because all she does is talk about diving
all day long! A resident of Goa since 2016, she is your go-to person for food & restaurant
recommendations.
