Becoming a PADI certified Open Water Diver is the first and the most important step towards all your underwater adventures to come. If you’re ready to experience the mesmerizing underwater world that too right here in Goa, then it’s time you take your first Open Water Diver Course.
The PADI Open Water Diver course equips the students with the knowledge and all the basic skills to dive safely and confidently, independent of any professional supervision to a maximum depth of 18m/60 feet (with a certified buddy).The PADI certification is internationally valid, so while you’ll complete your dive training in Goa, you can travel and dive anywhere in the world. What’s more? Goa has excellent conditions to train, giving you the best opportunity at a great location, in India.
Note: Children aged from 10 to 15, will get a PADI Junior Open Water Diver certificate. A PADI Junior Open Water Diver may only dive with a PADI professional or a certified parent/guardian to a maximum depth of 12m/ 40ft. The certificate will change automatically to a PADI Open Water Diver certificate when the child becomes 15-years-old.

Additional details:
You can avail a PADI e-Learning pack to study online at your own speed prior to arriving for the course, and it can reduce training time by a day. The charges for the e-learning package are to be paid directly to PADI, through the padi.com. This will give you access to all the study material, knowledge review quizzes and videos. However, completing the theory along with your instructor at the Scuba Evolution India dive centre, at Goa, is highly recommended as the personal interaction with your instructor helps you learn better.
To sign up for PADI Open Water Diver Course, you must be at least 10 years old. It is mandatory for every student to be comfortable in water and be able to demonstrate either a 200m unassisted swim or a 300m snorkel swim with fins.
You may be able to get college credits for the Open Water Diver course.
