Specialty Courses add specific knowledge and skills to the diver's toolbox. PADI® specialty courses are for divers who want to improve their diving continually and safely explore more of the underwater world.
The first dive of a PADI® Specialty Diver course may credit as an Adventure Dive toward your Advanced Open Water Diver certification - ask your instructor about earning credit. You may be able to get college credit for some of the specialty courses - ask your instructor.
We offer the following fundamental courses:-
a) Deep Diver - During the PADI® Deep Diver course, you'll learn how to plan deep dives, manage your gas supply and how to identify and manage narcosis. You'll learn about buddy contact procedures, safety considerations, and buoyancy control at depth.
The Deep Diver course is an indispensable training course to understand better the basics of Dive Safety, Dive Planning, Decompression Theory, and Gas Management at depths greater than 18 meters. The max depth of this course is 40m/130ft. If you're at least 15 years old and have earned a PADI® Adventure Diver certification or higher, you can enroll in the Deep Diver Specialty course.
b) Enriched Air Diver - Enriched Air, also known as Nitrox or EANx, contains less nitrogen than regular air. Breathing less nitrogen means you can enjoy longer dives and shorter surface intervals. Enriched Air Diver is the most popular PADI® specialty; this single-day course teaches the diver the safe use of Enriched Air Nitrox. You will also learn to program the gases in your dive computer and dive conservatively. The diver can also undertake two optional dives using Enriched Air Nitrox(dives at additional cost). We highly recommend this course as a simple add-on during our Open Water Diver or Advanced Open Water Diver Courses(a trendy choice among travelling divers). Min Age 12
c) Wreck Diver - Whether purpose-sunk as an artificial reef for scuba divers or lost as the result of an accident; wrecks are fascinating windows to the past. Ships, airplanes, and even cars are fascinating to explore and usually teem with aquatic life. Each wreck dive offers a chance for discovery, potentially unlocking a mystery or spying on something others have missed.
The PADI® Wreck Diver Specialty course is popular because it offers rewarding adventures while observing responsible wreck diving practices. If you're at least 15 years old and have earned a PADI® Adventure Diver certification or higher, you can enroll in the Wreck Diver Specialty course.
Your training starts by reviewing guidelines for researching and respecting wrecks. You'll also learn:
The wreck diver course runs over 2-3 days and includes four dives. We have three different wreck sites at Goa that we may use for the dives depending on the diver's comfort and ability.
d) Underwater Navigator - Be the scuba diver everyone wants to follow because you know where you are and where you're going. The PADI® Underwater Navigator course fine-tunes your observation skills and teaches you to use your compass underwater more accurately. If you like challenges with big rewards, take this course and have fun leading the way.
If you're a PADI®(Junior) Open Water Diver at least 10 years old, you can enroll in the PADI Underwater Navigator Specialty course.
In the 2-3 day course, you'll learn to use natural signs and a compass to navigate underwater in three training dives and also practice:
